Population Preferences
This mod allows you to customize your school’s population by letting you decide what percentage of students, teachers, and staff are generated as male or female. This means that you can now easily create a school that is all-male or all-female.
You can also adjust how many males are gay or how many females are lesbian, giving you finer control over how relationships form in your school.
1: Subscribe to the mod.
2: In-game, click Mod Collection from the main menu.
3: Find Population Preferences and click Turn On.
4: Press F10 to open the mod menu and change the settings to your preferences.
5: Click the Save button to apply your settings. You can now dismiss the mod menu by pressing F10 again.
As soon as you hit save, your settings will kick in. Newly generated characters will adhere to the settings immediately even if you’re already in-game. Just make sure your game is paused first. Already generated characters will not be affected.
– Female Population % –
This controls the ratio of male to female characters. So for example, if you set it to 100%, then all newly generated characters will be female. If you were to set it to 50%, then it’d be a coin flip. And at 0% you’d have all newly generated characters be male.
– % of Gay Males –
This controls the chance for a Male character to be attracted to other Males. So at 0%, Male characters will behave like vanilla and only ever form relationships with female characters. At 100%, ALL Male characters will be gay and attracted to other male characters. The slider goes from 0-100%, so you can make it, for example, 90% to still have a 10% chance of straight Males.
– % of Lesbian Females –
Same as above, but for Female characters.
– Reset –
Resets all the settings to the game’s defaults. So Male to Female ratio will go back to 50/50, and all characters will be heterosexual.
This is my first mod for this game, so there may still be bugs I didn’t catch. After several hours of testing, however, everything appears stable and I’ve confirmed that both the male-female ratio and sexuality settings are working as intended.
This mod ships with, and uses, Harmony to patch the game, so compatibility with other mods that also ship Harmony may be sketchy. Though I don’t think any other mod on the Workshop does this currently. As I’m only targeting a very, very small part of the game’s code, compatibility shouldn’t be a big issue regardless. Though please leave a comment if you think something broke.
