Description:

The BNSF/Union Pacific Division is a mushroom style club layout set in the modern era. It takes heavy inspiration from real layouts like the Fall River Division. There are two staging yards (one for each railroad) and dozens of unique industries that all produce different goods. The layout is ideal for operating sessions, with sidings and signals along the mainline. It is completely possible to manage multiple trains that are going the opposite direction of each other yourself.

This modern era layout is filled with all different kinds of settlements that could be found in the United States. Grimshaw, a major city in the midwest, has multiple grain elevators and oil industries that deliver to different factories all over the map. The towns of Baldston and Gribble also offer plenty of freight to haul. All cities also have passenger stations that Amtrak serves. The layout has two mountain passes, a desert area, and multiple midwestern sections.

The BNSF railroad serves the entirety of the layout while the Union Pacific railroad runs from it’s staging yard to the west portal of the BNSF staging yard. The staging yards are empty so you can store your own consists in them. The layout can serve all kinds of freight operations, even long haul intermodal.

Thank you everyone for all the kind words I received while building this layout. I hope it’s been worth the wait!

NOTE: Turn off shadows in Rolling Line’s settings if the layout is dim for you.
