Arriflex 16ST – 1952 "Cold War Reporter" – Film Camera & Microphone Boom
The Arriflex 16ST, introduced in 1952 as one of the first professional 16mm reflex cameras, found extensive use during the Vietnam War. Compact, rugged, and relatively lightweight compared to 35mm systems, it was favored by journalists and documentary filmmakers covering the conflict in challenging conditions. Its reflex viewing system allowed precise focus and framing, making it ideal for capturing fast-moving and unpredictable combat situations. The camera’s portability and adaptability helped bring raw, immediate images of the war to audiences worldwide, cementing its reputation as a workhorse of frontline cinematography.
This modification adds the Arriflex 16ST camera to Arma 3 it can be used as a tool for Journalists and RP enthusiasts alike.
The animation currently is a placeholder, I hope to add my own custom animation set shortly.
100, 200, 400 foot film rolls are available for RP reasons and allows the camera to make the iconic film rolling sound effect expected from a film camera of the period.
