[oSB] Beta Hotbar!
This mod replaces the vanilla hotbar with a Lua recreation of the beta hotbar.
This hotbar comes with 10 slots and functions similarly to the hotbar from Starbound’s beta. You can use the number keys (rebindable) or scroll wheel to select an item for your left hand. If shift is held, it will select the item for your right hand. This allows you to mix-and-match your items on-the-fly! In vanilla, selecting a hotbar slot sets both hands, as a slot can hold two one-handed items; you can’t mix-and-match on the fly in vanilla.
Q: Mod doesn’t work! I do not have OpenStarbound[github.com] installed.
A: You must have OpenStarbound[github.com] installed for this mod to work.
Q: Is this clientside?
A: Only if the server has the same amount of hotbar slots as you (ten by default).
Q: My ‘more hotbar slots’ mods aren’t working!
A: Those affect the vanilla hotbar! They must have built-in support or a patch for it to work with this mod.
Q: So this is a mod that increases the amount of slots from 6 to 10?
A: No, this mod changes how the hotbar works. It also does that though.
Q: Is this safe to uninstall?
A: As long as you remove all items past the 6th slot in all hotbars, yes. If you are using a hotbar mod that adds more than 6 slots, clear slots up to that amount of slots.
Q: I should install this mod without knowing what it does! Surely I will not be confused by the sudden changing of a core UI element.
A: NO, YOU SHOULD NOT.
• Scrolling the righthand slot doesn’t allow going to the other side of the bar. ie right-scrolling down from 1 doesn’t get you to 10.
