The Fallout Wars Mission Pack
26 April 1986. The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant explodes and then burns to the ground. Massive clouds of radioactive particles spread across the USSR and its satellite nations. Over the next few months the USSR begins to collapse. Gorbachev is killed, the Ukrainian SSR and Belarusian SSR declare independence, and the tyrannical State of Emergency Committee desperately clings to power as the Baltic and Caucasian States seem to be next in line. Hundreds of thousands flee from the conflict, as every admiral with a navy and general with an army becomes a warlord. The Fallout Wars have begun.
This mission pack is set in the timeline explored in the video series “What if the Chernobyl Disaster Was Far Worse?” and “The Fallout Wars: An Alternate Soviet Collapse” by Cody Franklin of AlternateHistoryHub on Youtube. I have linked the videos, and I would highly recommend you watch them before playing these missions to introduce the different factions. It is similar to my “Eruption” series of missions in that you will primarily be using Eastern Bloc equipment against other Post-Soviet forces, and without a clear technological advantage it is a test of the player’s skills. Also both campaigns being a variation of “A Superpower suffers a major disaster and then breaks apart” is not lost on me 😉
This pack contains 6 story missions plus a silly bonus mission. It does require a few additional mods; I appreciate your understanding, it is all done in the name of making the missions more fun/interesting.

Part 3: Brackish. Oct 1987, United Russian Republics (Dagestan) vs Azerbaijan & Iran.
Part 4: The Siegebreakers. April 1988, Archangels vs. SOEC
Part 4.5: The Second Siege of Leningrad. May 1988, Archangels & URR vs. SOEC
Part 5: The Iron Fleet. May 1988, Okhotsk Federation & China vs Russian Empire (Buryatia)
Some known issues:
I’m generally using the modern Russian flags to represent the Post-Soviet factions. This can cause some weird issues: Assets from any nation that isn’t the USSR will use English voice lines by default, and Soviet-made aircraft launched from an airfield/carrier will spawn with the USSR flag regardless of the nationality of the Air Base. This has no impact on gameplay, but it is annoying.
I’ve tried to place Airbases outside of cities so autogen buildings won’t spawn on top of them, but obviously these are automatically generated, and some weirdness may occur.
