Westford’s new connecting Line
With trains now being able to connect directly between the suburban line and mainline via the newly constructed viaduct line north of South Mimms there is now a new timetable in place. Two brand new services now operate. A stopping service between Evertenham & Sharley and a semifast between Hatford & Kempsford. There are also major changes on the main slow line with no direct through services, Instead all services terminate at Sharley in both directions where a connecting service is available to complete each journey. There is also a shuttle service on the Fast mainline where trains terminate at Belsham, though intercity trains continue to use the full route. Most services seem to run to time, although a handful of trains are slightly delayed before entering Kempsford station.
