Invasion! Port Hetzog Raid
Inspired by the legacy 2LW Project Altrius Maps, This is the TENTH map in my "Inspired" Series!
THIS MAP IS MEANT TO BE PLAYED WITH AND IS BALANCED FOR THE 2ND LEERSOG WAR WEAPONS/SKINS PACK. HIGHLY SUGGESTED TO USE AMPHIBIOUS CRAFT IN TRANSPORT BOAT SLOT. 10 SECOND RESPAWN RECOMMENDED!
“Charging across Urdow Province after smashing through the unfinished Perlechkin Line at Kitter Moer, Syrvania’s Rapid Assault Divisions press Hetland’s Second Home Army back against the Zlowice Estuary near the Citadel town of Heinz-Anslow. Despite the failure of a major glider operation to seize control of the Artillery Citadel itself, Syrvania’s Republican forces have managed to cut off the main axis of retreat, forcing the better part of two Royal Army Corps into the rugged Urdic Peninsula at the mouth of the Estuary.
It is here in the Peninsula where Hetland hopes to reverse its crumbling fortunes: front-line units skirmish and blunt the Syrvanian attack while thousands of fresh reserves are ferried across the Estuary by the capable King’s Navy, building up manpower for a powerful counterattack against Syrvania’s coastal flank. However, few ports are able to accommodate this surge in naval traffic, and Republican aerial reconnaissance quickly discovers this weakness.
A small flotilla of Syrvania’s Coastal Defense Service and mechanized Marines, already prepared for a now-aborted attack further up the Zlowice, will be re-rolled as a raiding force for smash-and-run raids in an effort to render these ports unusable. Well defended by numerous gun batteries at the tail end of the Perlechkin Line, the attack will be no easy task, but if the Home Army’s buildup can be thwarted, it will be well worth the effort.”
It’s recommended to use Universal Gun mounts for AA, and large AT guns in the AT slot.
Best with 200 units, either balanced or with moderate EAGLE advantage. 10 sec respawn recommended, Epic or Unlimited length.
Syrvanian (Eagle) attack map, eroding beaches quickly give way to stony cliffs or shoreline settlement dominated by harbor wharf and canals. Bunkers, gun emplacements and thick buildings provide cover for defenders against potent attacking armor. Natural choke points at the canal bridge and Port Authority make this area vital for controlling the map.
