Tokyo Metro 18000 Series / 東京メトロ18000系
The 18000 Series (18000系) is an EMU operated by Tokyo Metro on the Tokyo Metro Hanzōmon Line.
Introduced in 2021 to replace the aging 8000 series, the new train sets offer improved capacity and energy efficiency. The 18000 series was constructed with aluminium alloy to reduce weight, and the material used is 85%+ recyclable for use in future vehicles after scrapping. 19 10-car formations totalling 190 cars had been ordered and are scheduled to be introduced until 2025. The type through-runs onto the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, Tobu Skytree Line, Tobu Nikkō Line, and Tobu Isesaki Line.
