Tokyo Metro 2000 Series / 東京メトロ2000系
The 2000 Series (2000系) is an EMU operated by Tokyo Metro on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line.
Developed ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the 2000 series are gradually the aging 02 series, which had served for more than 30 years. A total of 312 cars are scheduled to be manufactured, with the 02 series fully phased out by March 2024. The new train sets features compatibility with CBTC to reduce headway, and improved energy efficiency.

Maximum design speed is used, operating speeds are 75km/h on the Marunouchi Line and 65km/h on the Branch Line.
Capacity is calculated using 200% crush as the Marunouchi Line frequently reaches 200% (and above) during rush hour.
