Tokyo Metro (Eidan) 08 Series / 営団08系
The 08 Series (08系) is an EMU operated by Tokyo Metro on the Tokyo Metro Hanzōmon Line.
Manufactured for the Hanzōmon Line’s extension in 2003, the 08 Series was the last type ordered by Eidan prior to it’s reorganization into Tokyo Metro the following year. Designed with the theme of "comfort and friendliness for people and the environment", the type features a higher max speed of 120km/h compared to the 110km/h of the last-generation 8000 Series. 6 10-car formations totalling 60 cars were produced. The type through-runs onto the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, Tobu Skytree Line, Tobu Nikkō Line, and Tobu Isesaki Line.
