Sokol-250
I present to you a model of the Soviet-Russian high-speed dual-energy electric train "Sokol-250." Development of this electric locomotive began in the USSR as a replacement for the ER-200 electric locomotive, but due to internal problems, work only began in 1993 with the participation of 60 companies. This, albeit delayed, allowed production of one prototype to begin in 1997. Testing of the train continued until 2004, but it failed to overcome its initial problems, which could have posed a safety risk. Consequently, the project was closed and transferred to a museum.
