Description:
Only for Spec Ops mode!

Ever wondered how you and your special Spec Ops squad ended up behind enemy lines, undetected? Well, here’s your chance to live through that experience!

With this mutator active, every time you spawn in at the start of a Spec Ops mission, you and your team will start high up in the air and parachute down towards the ground, providing a more cinematic introduction to the area of operations. Just don’t forget to pull your chute!
If you don’t want to be able to shoot while parachuting, then get this mutator as well, and set it to restrict the player.

You can configure the starting height for your sneaky drop behind enemy lines. Avoid setting this value too high if you don’t want to get bored spending 5 minutes floating through the sky.

HALO stands for High Altitude Low Opening. It is a form of high altitude parachuting conducted for military and recreational purposes. In a HALO jump, the parachutist will spend some time free falling before opening their parachute at a relatively low altitude. These insertions are generally conducted at altitudes of 15,000 and 35,000 feet (4,600 and 10,700 m). In a military context, this technique is useful for the covert insertion of personnel through airborne means.

As you can imagine, it takes quite a bit of time to fall from 4000+ meters in Ravenfield, even with the majority of that time spent in freefall. The scenery won’t even be that fascinating due to the limited render distance. What’s more, bots insist on opening their parachute as soon as possible, so they will be floating the 4000+ meters down to the ground! So consider what you experience through this mod as the last segment of a HALO insertion, in which you have dropped low enough to deploy the parachute.
