Description:
A new installment in the ReVISION series of mods, Chernarus 203x!

This project aims ot bring back the ArmA 2 classic factions reborn in the 2030s scene. With inspirations drawing from multiple sources and with inspiration from DayZ standalone in some cases.

Quick Lore
Chernarus had seen its fair share of woes in its time since establishing itself independent from the USSR. The 2009 crisis the most notable event in the nation’s history. Ties strained and tensions high following the fallout of both the September Crisis and the botched peacekeeping efforts of neighboring Takistan finds the new Chernarussian Government drawing its focus inwards. The old NAPA militia force having become one of the primary political parties in the nation had managed to do quite a bit for stitching old wounds and caring for their people. But as the years roll on and the rise of CSAT on the world stage begins. Whispers of South Zagorian independence, founded upon falsehoods and dirty money, begin once again. Chernarus finds itself developing quickly and mending ties with old allies as small crime in the nation’s far east pick up and whispers of a group calling themselves the South Zagorian Independence Army begin to emorge. And even dare as far as to use the symbols of the fallen Chernarussian Movement of The Red Star… Or Chedaki.

Chernarus had long thought they had the situation under control since the incidents in the early 2020s… But when the world’s eyes were on the island nation of Altis in 2035 a year later, with Western forces being directed away from the surrounding areas to put out brushfire conflicts, The SZIA unleashed a devistating surprise assault on the South Zagoria garrisons of the CDF. While the CDF had held more ground than their 2009 rendition at first they eventually were pushed nearly out of South Zagoria altogether as Mercenaries from CSAT nations began to flood in as advisors and combatants. All pawns in a bigger game for CSAT regional dominance.

The Chernarussian goverment’s forces were not alone however. Police forces had improved since the last conflict and a unofficial militant wing of the NAPA party emerged, dubbing itself the New Nationalist Party of Chernarus (NNPC) Together these forces clash with the SZIA for control of the maritime ports and farmland of the South Zagoria region, and the ore deposits within the Black Mountains to its north.

FACTIONS:
BLU
-Chernarus Defence Forces: Equiped with a balance of western and russian equipment, the CDF of the 2030s is a force that is more focused on defense rather than offense. Having been armed from Western allies and deals with a Russia trying to regain favor. The CDF also fields various home built weapons from the local firearms company Chernarusk Zbrojovka.
-United Nations (CDF): Chernarussian UN Peacekeepers along with Direct Action forces.
IND
-New Nationalist Party Of Chernarus (NNPC): A Militia force under the unofficial banner of the Nationalist Party (NAPA), Armed with Surplus, captured SZIA equipment, and hunting equipment
-Chernarus Police: Law Enforcement officers of Chernarus, coming in basic and "Militarized" forms inspired by the DayZ Standalone equipment found in police stations.
OPF
-South Zagorian Independence Army (SZIA): A mixture of South Zagorian criminals, Dissidents and descendents of the old Chedaki backed by clandestine CSAT member states and supported through a war that in their eyes will give them independence from western corruption. Backed by CSAT mercenaries and sporting a lot of captured CDF gear or supplies from CSAT member states. Their overall equipment suggests CSAT has been planning this for some time
