DENV-3 Dengue Fever
DENV-3 is an uncommon strain in the family of dengue viruses which causes the deadly dengue harmorrhagic fever. For the past 30 years, DENV-3 have not been a dominant strain among the other dengue viruses. However, recently on 11th February 2020 in Singapore, there were reports of a surge in DENV-3 cases. There is currently no cure for the dungue virus. The only treatment is for its symptoms. With the world currently focusing on the COVID-19 outbreak, can DENV-3 go under the radar long enough to infect the world?
