Description:
No Infamy (for players)

Purpose

This mod adds a modifier that removes infamy generation for the player, as well as increases infamy decay significantly.
The modifier will not be added automatically, instead, you must use a decision to add the modifier. There is another decision to remove the modifier if you so wish. (see screenshots in gallery for more info.

I got some Infamy, why is that?

From testing, it seems that changing infamy generation doesn’t include infamy from events, as well as actions like banning embassies, but does remove infamy from wargoals.

Therefore the modifier also adds increased infamy decay, which normally averages around a loss of 5 per week, so even if you get infamy, you will still lose it quickly.

Since the largest generation of infamy is usually from wargoals, this is still considered working as intended.

I am still receiving infamy from wargoals, why is that?
I made a small update to change the modifier to be -99% infamy generation to fix AI’s back down behavior. as a result, you will recieve a small amount of infamy (usually less than 1) per war goal. This is intended behavior. If it costs more than that, see below:

Before reporting it as a bug here, please ensure you have taken the decision to add the modifier, and verify that it shows you have the modifier on your country screen (click your flag in the upper left side of the screen)

Will the AI use this mod?

Nope! The decision will only be shown to, and only be able to be used by players.
If somehow the AI happens to get the modifier, then they will take the decision to remove it.
If you see an AI nation with the infamy modifier, please let me know, as that means the mod is not working as intended.

Is this mod balanced?

Nope! This mod is 100% cheating, and not playing the game as intended. It is recommended that you play the game normally before installing this mod, and only use this mod if you are alright with cheating.

The mod needs to be updated!

This mod only contains 3 files and a thumbnail image. None of those files touch vanilla game files, so even if the launcher says that this mod is out of date, it will likely work the exact same regardless, unless an update changes how infamy works, or the structure of modifiers/decisions.
