Realish Warhorses
With this mod, mounted combat can be devastatingly effective. Horse courage and stamina now scales better with rider skill, enemies have difficulty unseating rider, horses shy less around enemies or canines, and melee attacks from horseback deal significantly more damage. There is no Localization on the perks, since the original perks do not give numerical descriptions, and only numerical changes have been applied. There are no new effects.
Perk Changes:
Knight Training: Stamina melee attacks -25%, Enemies -10% chance to unseat.
Into the Fray: Damage coefficient is increased to 1.25.
Parameters Changes: (see Articles)
– Horse exhaustion is now 5% stamina.
– Enemies required 75% of the rider’s strength or weapon skill to unhorse rider.
– Horseback couched damage1.5x per m/s in speed, up to 7.5x at 15 m/s.
– Canines are now considered no greater threat than humans.
– Max spur time now 50 seconds, each spur adds 10 seconds.
– Horse Stamina base 150.
– Horse no longer has natural armor (added Stamina is the offset).
Why Mounted Combat Should Be More OP
KE = 1/2 * m * v^2
Where:
– KE is kinetic energy,
– m is mass (combined mass of horse and rider),
– v is velocity (speed of the horse).
Henry + Armor + Horse = 550kg (based upon game file in lbs)
Horse Velocity = 10m/s (36kmh or 23mph – a conservative gallop)
Kinetic Energy = 27500 J
For comparison, a .50BMG is 20000 J of energy.
I recommend using Realish Horse Armor for a complete mounted combat overhaul.
Compatiblity: Mod is PTF and compatible with anything not touching horse values in rpg_param, soul_archetype, or the buff_perks listed.
