Description:
OVERVIEW

China is a vast nation. Every settlement on the map, be it minor or major, is separated from the other settlements by many kilometres.

Essentially, Total War decided to use a weird province/region distinction beginning with Rome 2. In most other cases, what is referred to as a "region" is actually a "province". A "region" usually denotes a very large geographic area.

Now, with the size of the map, there should be thousands of settlements in order to portray the real world of this period. However, for logical reasons, only the largest settlement of a province is simulated on the map.

But, as mentioned, these settlements are vast distances away from each other.
Thus, the point of this mod is to re-iterate the province system such that it treats these settlements as actual province capitols and independent commanderies.

INFO

– All regions are now single region provinces.
– Minor settlements have been given extra building slots similar to major settlements and can build the same buildings.

This has been edited for all campaigns.
It should work without major issues, but I haven’t tested it thoroughly. Please feel free to report issues.

I have kept the start_pos tables in the mod, such that you may edit them and build your own start_pos if desired.

Compatibility

This is NOT compatible with other mods that edit the start_pos.
So major overhauls are likely not going to work with this mod.
Most other mods should be fine.

ISSUES

This is a minor issue, but since I am not familiar with the geography of ancient China, I have not been able to determine what province names to give to these new settlements.
Right now, each new province shares the same province name as in its former state (where provinces were grouped together). What this means is that several provinces have identical names on the map, which can be confusing when you get notifications about them.

If you have any knowledge about the historical province names, please feel free to share them with me. I will credit such contributions in here in the mod description.
