This mod adds a bunch of utilitarian miscellaneous additions to the game. Contrary to most of my other modding projects, this one uses a plugin, so it is 100% garantued incompatible with any FtD version other than the Oldcampaign Beta.
Featured Additions
- A new set of thruster/propellor components which are thrice as powerful as their vanilla simple thruster counterparts. They also use more power and are more expensive. This addition was made because as an oldcampaign player I miss out on the option to boost propulsion components like you are able to in current, and because I needed something like this for my planes.
- A set of nuclear reactor prefabs which use modified RTG code. It’s a stopgap solution in abscence of better coding skills on my part, but it works. Nuclear reactors can only be placed in the form of these prefabs, not as loose blocks. They explode like ammo blocks when destroyed, chain reacting the entire assembly. They also take up a lot of space. They offer the same amount of out-of-play power per volume as RTG’s, and several amounts that when in play.
- Crystal/material farms which work like an RTG which grants materials instead of battery power when in play. Coding them to work out of play proved infeasible, even with help from the main developers. Highly convenient for adventure play, and imbalanced as all hell. They provide 15 materials per second when in play, and nothing when out of play. Can be used to offset the material requirements of a blueprint.
- Dense ammo storages which store 2500 ammo per m3 rather than 100. This addition was made to help with building compact aircraft which made use of my bombardier mod weaponry. Passive ammo regeneration is scaled accordingly in these blocks. Also makes it so that ammo storage doesn’t take up a third of your citadel space without spamming ammo processors.
- Cemented armour blocks and their variants and the cloth mantlet from the old After Cataclysm mod make an appearance, with some more AC blocks being under conversion.
- 10m Autoloaders and Clips for APS
- Invisible large missile launcher and gantries for specific use cases.
Note that many of these additions, especially in combination with my other mods, have a huge game breaking potential. I don’t really care as I find it easy to restrain myself outside of novelty use and one-off blueprints, but you have been warned!
