Description:

Drawing inspiration from the historically prevalent yet varied systems of secondary capitals, Secondary Capital building has been created. This allows players to establish multiple centers for spreading control. As a balancing measure, construction is currently restricted to urban only. Both construction requirements and maintenance costs are relatively high, necessitating players to first upgrade their initial industries before building.

All these values are untested and may disrupt game fairness!

As my first attempt at developing a mechanics-focused mod, progress may be slow. However, I sincerely hope to create a mod that is both historically accurate and engaging. Any feedback and suggestions is welcomed!

Current Development Plan:
– secondary capital building functionality (Completed)
– Mod text and image decorate (In progress)
– Adjusting secondary capital building strength and construction limits via starting setting (In progress)

– Making secondary capital building requires acquisition through specific innovations and Institutions (Planning).
– Selecting historical secondary capitals via events (Planning)
– Implementing culturally distinct for secondary capital effects: nomadic cultures use Khan’s Court, Anglo-French cultures use Imperial Villa, Middle Eastern cultures use Religious Centers (Planning)
– Implement non-building secondary capital mechanics for distinct cultures: Russian culture retains an “Old Capital” modifier after relocation,Spanish culture selects Castile or Aragon as a “Secondary Title,” boosting development in the associated tile – North African cultures choose multiple “Rotating Capitals,” reducing relocation costs and gaining benefits post-move (in planning)
