CatTacRadio
Allows players to subscribe and unsubscribe to custom radio channels.
Uses Arma’s built in VOIP system, so no addons or external programs are needed.
Default keybinds:
– Press CTRL + U to bring up the radio (no equipment required);
– Press CTRL + (Numpad 1-8) to quickly switch channels. (You can also cycle through subscribed channels with "." and ",")
All keybindings can be rebound in Configure -> Controls -> Configure Addons -> Cat Tactical Radio.
This is helpful if you want to shortcut certain channels.
Channels can be renamed or disabled through the CBA Addons menu (Requires mission restart).
Mission makers can set up this channels through Eden Editor: Settings -> Addon Options -> Mission Tab -> Cat Tactical Radio. Make sure to overwrite clients, and that server settings don’t overwrite your mission settings.
This mod is not compatible with any changes made to Arma’s custom channels (default channels changes should be fine, as long as they aren’t removed).
– 10 channel max
– Side restrictions on channels, configurable in CBA settings (requires mission restart)
– Correct callsigns for custom channel text chat
– Menu for displaying a channel’s subscribed members
Known bugs:
– Channel 10 Keybinding does not work.
Not coming soon (sorry):
– Group management. My objective for this mod is to provide a management system for Arma’s base game custom chats. Replacing the group management system is a bit ambitious for this project.
– More than 10 channels. Unfortunately this is all Arma gives us to work with.
– Long Range Radio. One of the objectives for this mod is to allow players to opt in/out of what they want to hear. Here’s how I implement Long Range Radio with channel management.
Squad Alpha
– Squad Leader / members / JTAC
Squad Bravo
