Helmet Visor Accessories
These visors have absorbed all of my free time for about a week, mainly getting the materials and textures to play nice(both with Addon Builder and each other). Now, I believe it’s finally in a position to post. I firmly believe, at this point, Real Virtuality was never intended to be able to do what I was trying to do, and have done, but I’m happy with the result either way. It was very, very hard to get everything to the point it’s at now, but if anyone has secrets in .rvmat-fu they’d like to pass down to get a truly reflective silver or polarized sunglass material on shapes such as these, please be my guest.
This mod adds the helmet visors from GuyFawkestom’s recent mod in the Facewear and NVG slots, as well as variations thereof. The normal variants are meant to fit on the Basic Helmet from Laws of War and any helmet modeled after them(such as WoT’s Covered Basic Helmets). The universal(Uni) variants are meant to fit most other helmets, though fit is not guaranteed.
THESE VISORS DO NOT ADD ARMOR OR BLOCK PROJECTILES. I don’t think that’s possible for Facewear or NVGs. If it is, let me know in the comments.
Known issues:
Items with transparent materials layered under the visors may appear strange.
Opacity of the Tinted and Silver visors changes based on worn uniform.
Shadows appear unrealistically through the Silver visors.
Masks draw over themselves oddly from side views and do not refract light realistically.(Nothing I can do about this and above.)
Universal versions of visors look odd on many helmets.(I tried.)
