Description:

Skul, Hero Slayer, Little Bone, no matter what you call him it won’t change that he’s here for another adventure! The last skeleton and the hero of Demonkind in their hour of need, Little Bone ascends the spire in search of the new source of Dark Quartz spreading across Harmonia. Will he make it to the top to put an end to this once and for all, or will he end up disassembled at the foot of the spire?

Skulls

Equip any pair of 13 unique Skulls! Skulls are added to your master deck, but exhaust at the start of combat and allow you to choose which Skull to equip. You can check your enemy’s intents and your hand to decide if going in guns blazing is a good idea or not before you commit. Each Skull has a set of different effects to allow them to change the way they play. You find them like any other cards as powers with no costs and the ‘SKULL’ tag. If you start combat with more than 2 in your deck, you’ll be prompted to break some until you have only 2 left.

There are currently 1 Basic, 4 Common, 7 Uncommon, and 3 Rare Skulls for a total of 18. You begin with a completely random Skull in your deck alongside Little Bone. Each Skull has three traits:

Passive

An effect that’s always active as long as you’re wearing the Skull, such as counterattacking unblocked damage or gaining Vigor when evoking orbs.

Bonepile

An effect triggered by cards with the Bonepile keyword. The effect varies from Skull to Skull, and can range from Block or damage all the way to powers applied to you or enemies or generating cards.

Swap

A one-off effect that happens when you first equip a Skull (except at the start of combat). They can range from simple Block or energy to more impactful effects such as blocking with Gold or advancing some Skull-specific gameplan.

These traits make certain cards more or less effective on some Skulls, and can cause a hand to play out differently if you have different Skulls on-hand! Should you swap immediately, later, or not at all? Will your passive make the next hit less dangerous? Will your Bonepile kill the monsters that are threatening to hit you? Do you want to be hit?

Skull’s cards currently include 82 cards divided as:

Rarity
Cards
Skulls
Total

Basic
4
1

Common
17
4

Uncommon
33
6

Rare

82

Additionally, 13 of the 16 Skulls have a ‘Form’ card unique to them. You can only find that form card in rewards or shops while you own the Skull it belongs to, so only 2 of them are live in rewards at a time for a total pool of 82 draftable cards at a time. While you may only be able to obtain the Form card with the Skull in your deck, once you’ve got a form in your deck it’s fair game to drop the Skull to use it elsewhere!

Thanks!

Special thanks to a lot of mods and their creators for making the information available that fueled this mod!

Blade Dancer, for the two power rows that isn’t getting used quite yet!
Kijin Eir, for putting up with me bugging you for input every 2 seconds. Again.

I’m just a big fan with a lot of love, too much time, and not enough common sense.
