GTS Expander – custom rule-based unlocks
Do you ever feel like the GTS is just kind of… dead? Are you running custom classes that just don’t get any unlocks, or an overhaul like Amalgamation that makes them near-useless?
GTS Expander aims to address this and more; it allows you to turn any old perk into a GTS unlock, complete with its own supply/resource/corpse costs, and only given to soldiers that meet the specified gates:
– Weapon category (e.g. rifles, shotguns)
– Slot (e.g. primary/secondary or utility)
– …and rank for fine-tuning (defaults to squaddie and above)
This means that if you buy an unlock that is labeled "Primary Rifle" (with no rank gate), it will automatically show up on any characters bringing a primary-slot rifle into battle!
Note that, if this is an offensive ability, it’ll be bound to the rifle; you won’t be able to use it on a carried pistol, for example. Exceptions to this are specified in the unlock descriptions.

Everything is extensively configurable, and the mod comes with a ton of documentation. A set of cost buckets for any bridges to refer to is provided; make a change here, and it should apply everywhere!
As always, consider using a local config to preserve deeper changes across updates.
I’m not aware of any conflicts. The mod should work with most things, Amalgamation included. LWOTC is untested, but is probably fine?
Note that some mods (like those that add dedicated slots for specific weapon types) may shift balance; read bridge pages for more info.
GTS Categorizer: Sorts unlocks by cost. Pretty much mandatory with big lists.
GTS Supply Cost Scaler: Has full support. Can also be config’d to only scale non-Expander costs!
Better Cost Strings: Makes it more obvious which costs you can pay, and how much they’ll hurt.
Standardised Resources Bar: Shows more resources in the GTS. Custom config bundled.
Note that Resource Cost Fixer is a hard requirement; the mod will not start without it.
The mod may not handle every single ability properly just yet. I ran about 80 perks through it and found only 1 that was flaky (perk that checked inventories for specific items), but I’d recommend testing any custom additions before committing.
