Description:

I’m changing the lore a bit (this is a summarized version, I’m gonna make a video where i go into more detail)

Coming from the Wabash, Pevler takes over as president of the PRR in 1963 and revives the worn out Pennsy. Lots of passenger trains were cancelled but some would later come back as an service under Amtrak.

The PRR sells the DT&I to the NW and in the 1969, the railroads get deregulated. Amtrak is formed in 1971 and relieves the PRR of its remaining passenger services over the NEC. Pevler retires in 1970 and recommended a replacement to the board to replace him. The Erie Lackawanna gets the jump on double stack intermodal since their line was the only one that had enough clearance, but the other competing roads followed soon after with their clearance projects.

With a healthy rail industry again in 1996, the PRR came out with a new livery that hearkened back to the old streamliners with the five stripes.

Going back to the 70s, Amtrak leased the NEC from the PRR and the New Haven and would pay them a yearly rate based on the maintenance and overhead usage for operation over the corridor. Freight comes by at night during the week while some may come during the day on the weekend

included are 2 versions (with random numbers)
1972: as delivered
1996: five stripe version
