Jaggid’s General Research with Breakthroughs
This mod combines concepts from two of my other mods.
It adds a series of "general research projects", each which takes longer than the previous one. These projects are designed primarily to give your researchers something to work on between breakthrough discoveries.
Unlike the vanilla version of the mod, however, this one actually rewards you for each research project completed, by unlocking a random Breakthrough Technnology upon completion. Note that the breakthrough technology does also then need to be researched.
Be aware that the way the game randomizes breakthroughs to unhide, it could pick one that you already have available. So sometimes you just won’t get anything new.

Do NOT enable that mod and this one at the same time.
The "Explore" expedition which can reward a random breakthrough has a parameter that you must have 10 or fewer breakthrough technologies already unhidden to find it via exploration.
Because of this, if you wish to maximize how many random unlocks you get from explore expeditions, do NOT do these general research projects until you have hit the magic number of 10 unhidden breakthroughs.
Breakthroughs which are unhidden count toward that limit, regardless of whether they are already researched or not.
