1756 – The Seven Years War
A speculative scenario prior to the outbreak of the 7 years war.
This map was thrown together based upon a bunch of historical maps as well as some speculation for gameplay reasons. I personally prefer an experience where the AI is a little bit sensible and this scenario tends to do something like that. The regional accuracy is, in order from least to most accurate, Oceania, Southeast & Northeast Asia, India, Africa, Persia, North America, South America, and finally Europe.
All nations start with 100,000 legacy because dealing with the legacy upgrades at this stage in the game (roughly tech 45) is a miserable experience. There are also a good number of castles and temples built across the world so that there is less undeveloped wastelands that have no military or economic development.
There are multiple alliances worldwide, the HRE exists, but so do the Genoese, Venetians, Habsburgs, Papacy, and multiple American colonial nations. These alliances are typically in the imperial form so as to allow the player to unify them if they so desire.
I won’t be working on this very much, if at all in the future; what you see is most likely what you get.
