Tongues of Power: Court & Church
Tongues of Power: Court & Church expands the conditions under which you can adopt a Court Language or a Liturgical Language.
The mechanic itself already exists in the base game — this mod simply unlocks additional, logical options.
What this mod adds
You can now choose languages under the following conditions:
Court Language
• The language spoken by your spouse
(you may adopt it as both a court language and a liturgical language;
this language is taken directly from the spouse’s character culture, not their religion)
• The court language of countries you are at war with
• The court language of your vassals
Liturgical Language
• The liturgical language of countries you are at war with
• The liturgical language of your vassals
• The liturgical language of your overlord
(available only if you are a vassal)
• The liturgical language of the official head of an organization / order
(if you belong to that organization)
These additions make language selection more dynamic, reflecting wars, vassalage, dynastic marriage, and institutional hierarchy.
Note from the author
I attempted to add permanent language options for certain cultural-religious groups
—for example: Church Slavonic always available to Slavic cultures, Greek always available to Orthodox countries—
but this feature is not working yet.
