Stemmatologia Tigurina
Stemmatologia Tigurina: Zürich Flavor Mod
Version: 0.0.2
A small mod focusing on adding documented patrician and burgher dynasties to Zürich, complete with accurate heraldry, genealogies, and bespoke events.
I appreciate everyone who chooses to:

Historically documented Zürich patrician and burgher dynasties have been added, each featuring accurate coats of arms and reconstructed genealogies. Each dynasty’s given name lists are based on archival genealogical sources, ensuring historically plausible names and identities for generated characters within the game world.
Several dynasties are available in Zürich from the 1337 start date, with additional dynasties becoming accessible later via dynamically triggered events.
Dynasties featured in this release:
- Brun[hls-dhs-dss.ch]
- Fütschi[hls-dhs-dss.ch]
- Mülner[hls-dhs-dss.ch]
- Escher vom Glas[hls-dhs-dss.ch]
- Escher vom Luchs[hls-dhs-dss.ch]
- Holzhalb[hls-dhs-dss.ch]
- Ziegler[hls-dhs-dss.ch]
- Werdmüller[hls-dhs-dss.ch]
- Hirzel[hls-dhs-dss.ch]
Some dynasties are included in a limited capacity
For more details and a historical introduction to the featured dynasties, see the Change Notes.

New historically sourced events, including the purchase of Kyburg from Austria and the legendary Millet-Porridge Voyage (Hirsebreifahrt[de.wikipedia.org]), let you relive pivotal moments of Zürich’s past. Every event includes detailed historical background, offering added context for players who enjoy understanding the history behind their choices.
Most events connect directly to the newly added Zürich patrician and burgher dynasties, with the historical background texts highlighting how these families shaped, and were shaped by, the very events you encounter.
The first release includes 10 dynamically triggered events that chronicle Zürich’s patrician and burgher dynasties within the historical events that shaped the city.

Zürich now features location flavor text, and the new tag Landvogtei of Kyburg, complete with its own flag can be created via event. This title employs a unique Elective Bailiwick succession law, allowing a Landvogt to be chosen from among Zürich’s patrician and burgher elites.
Isn’t this an extremely niche mod, mainly for rather eccentric people who are really into patrician and burgher families from Zürich?
Yes.
What’s up with the focus on characters, you know this isn’t CK3?
I am aware, but I like characters, dynasties, family trees, heraldry, and genealogy.
Will there be more content for the mod?
I hope so.
What about compatibility with other mods?
I’ve made the mod as compatible as possible, so it should work with most other mods. If anything breaks, just let me know in the comments.
Is the mod historically accurate?
I’ve tried to stay as faithful to the historical sources as possible. I’ve had to make a few compromises, some due to game mechanics, others for more practical reasons. But historical accuracy, closely followed by historical plausibility, is my main focus for this mod.
Have I met you at a VERY Chinese time in your life?
If that’s the case, I wouldn’t be surprised if you at one point will be able to find a Chinese translation here.
