Description:

Apparently corpses lack any real food value to certain exotic animals that can be recruited using other mods.

As certain aspects of this "bug" are buried beyond the reach of the tool set, this really simple mod is a work-around that sets all vanilla non-mechanical (that would be weird) animal types to have the "eat food on ground" AI behavior. "Ground" apparently includes food barrels and animal feeders.

Do not despair, your friendly neighborhood Beak Things will still eat you alive if given the chance. They just won’t turn their …er… beaks up at a bit of raw meat off the bone or the odd (Okran forgive me) chewstick.

This mod is meant to be used in conjunction with any recruitment mods that have not already resolved this issue in their own way.

Should work with almost anything as it doesn’t change any other values.

Please do note that if a creature is created entirely by a mod that you’ve added, thus it doesn’t reference the existing base creatures, this will not help. My apologies in advance if your search continues.

Also note that I absolutely refuse to take responsibility for the starvation caused after your pet leviathan has eaten literally everything not made of steel or stone.

tl;dr version:

YES: Corpse and body eaters will still use their animations and the bodies will disappear.

NO: The creatures will not gain food from that activity. That is not what this mod does.

YES: The creatures will replenish hunger via food stores, animal feed troughs, and food items placed on the ground near them.
