11/21/2025 Rebalanced battles to no longer be fights to the deaths. Note: currently high initiative is quite powerful due to the long retreat timer, allowing for effective overruns on smaller units. Looking on feedback on this (try england in HYW).
11/20/2025 Updated to 1.0.7, new levy system reverted (it’s not needed since levy and regular sizes are the same), levy combat efficiency modifiers replaced with appropriate combat power modifiers.
11/18/2025 Reverted massive 1.0.6 levy nerf
A collection of (mostly values) changes that makes engaging with the military aspect of the game more interesting, and far more rewarding.
Major Changes:
-Levy size is now commensurate with that age’s regular size (balancing adjusted to reflect this).
-Added stat increase for age 2 and 3 infantry, overall increased combat power increase from tech.
-Combat width varies by tech level to account for greater numbers of units early on, should matter more than in vanilla.
-Cavalry divided into light and heavy cavalry, heavy cavalry is very expensive and very powerful in the early game. Light cavalry is less powerful but has higher flanking ability.
-Different unit classes move at different speeds on the campaign map.
-Artillery bombardment efficiency substantially increased.
-Maximum siege progress increased by 1.
-Siege phases do tripled attrition to garrison.
-Units received modifiers to differentiate high quality (professional or semi-professional) and low quality units.
