Records Mode General Abilities
This is essentially a personal mod I made. I prefer records mode for a variety of reasons, but the fact that all the character classes felt the same in battle was something I saw as wasted potential. This mod adds 10 abilities, 2 of which are available to each of the 5 classes. Each class has one active and one passive ability.
These abilities are roughly in the vein of the abilites present for generals in older TW games such as Shogun 2.
Commander
Inspire: Boosts the damage, missile resistance, and morale of a single unit for some time.
Rally: A constant +15 Morale aura around the commander, in a short radius.(Passive)
Strategist
Surge: Boosts the movement speed of the entire army for a short time. Long cooldown.
Focus Fire: Increases the accuracy and rate of fire for ranged units standing near the strategist.(Passive)
Champion
Second Wind: Replenishes the stamina of nearby units. This ability only recharges while engaged in melee combat.
Stand and Fight: Buffs the damage of nearby units when under fire. (Passive)
I originally wanted Stand and Fight to only take effect while the champion is dismounted, but this sadly didn’t turn out to be possible. For now it just requires the champion be under missile fire.
Sentinel
Hold Firm: Grants charge resistance and unbreakable morale in a small AOE around the sentinel.
Resolve: Grants bonus versus infantry to in an AOE around the sentinel, if he is engaged in melee. (Passive)
I originally wanted resolve to make nearby units fear immune, but this doesn’t seem to work. May add more to it.
Vanguard
Roar of the Beast: Reduces enemy morale in a small AOE.
Reckless Abandon: When the vanguard charges, he will give a charge bonus, acceleration and speed boost to all other units charging with him in an AOE. (Passive)
The abilities are only present in records mode. I may in future add character specific abilities.
Should be compatible with saves and all other mods.
Does not edit startpos, ceo, or data core any tables.
Does not work in custom battles. It was a lot less work to make it campaign only.
