Atharti Worship – Dark Elves Religion Building
Adds a chain of buildings to the main DE faction that is analogous to Cult of Pleasure religious building chain.
Because this chain combines both PO boosts and Untainted bonuses while also providing all the unit production equivalent to Khaine chain, the buildings are costed at about twice to that of Khaine in money.
The buildings cost Population to construct as well, this is both an attempt to balance the fact that it basically combines 2 other buildings into a single slot, and also flavoring – as far as I know, worship of Atharti in lore was the original cover for the Cult of Pleasure, and among other things promotes decadence and indulgence. So these buildings ‘use up’ some of the population’s / workforce productivity.
As a final point to make the building chain distinct, at tier 5 the chain adds +1 Winds of Magic bonus faction wide allowing a DE empire that focuses on it in every province to gradually make its magic far more powerful.
The Cult of Pleasure was originally a primary factor to the creation of Dark Elves as a whole. Never made sense to me that Morathi represents the corrupted Chaos version of it, yet the main DE faction does not have a ‘true’ following, especially as one of the rituals is devoted to Atharti.
