📌 Overview

Governors of towns and castles will automatically resolve issues in their settlements and attached villages.

Unresolved issues normally reduce prosperity and loyalty, making late-game management extremely tedious when you own many settlements.
This mod removes that frustration by letting your governors take care of local problems for you.

✨ Features

  • Governors resolve issues in towns and attached villages
  • Removes all loyalty and prosperity penalties caused by unresolved issues
  • Higher governor skills increase quest success chance
  • Solving issues requires garrison troops
  • Troops can be wounded or killed during missions
  • Participating troops gain XP
  • Governors gain XP in one of the required skills
  • You receive the gold and rewards associated with the resolved quests
  • Higher-tier troops have a higher chance to be wounded instead of killed
  • Ability to disable specific quest types
  • Optional skill check for governors (same skills as "send companion" quests)
  • Save-game compatible
  • Option to destroy hideouts during quests like "Nearby Bandit Base"
  • Option to resolve issues and grant rewards for AI clan governors as well

⚙️ Quest Resolution Mode

The original Governors Handle Issues mod simply cancelled quests when a governor was present.

This version introduces a full Quest Resolution Mode with:

  • Success chance
  • Skill checks
  • Rewards
  • Casualties
  • Experience gain

If you prefer the old behavior, you can disable Quest Resolution Mode in the mod options.

🧩 Dependencies

None required.

However, to edit the mod options you need:
Mod Configuration Menu (MCM)

Important:
MCM settings are save-specific.

To access the options:

  • Load a save
  • Press ESC
  • Options → Mod Options → Governors Handle Issues

If you open the options from the main menu and don’t see the mod, load a save first.

🔧 Notes

  • This is a maintenance and compatibility fix
  • No gameplay redesign
  • Safe to add to existing saves
