EA Ss’slurea – slime.dm
It is with with pride that I can announce the release of EA Ss’slurea. A nation done in collaboration with my wife, I hope you will have as much fun playing as we had making it!
Before getting into the proper nation intro I wanted to make a disclaimer: This mod is done for fun and therefore isn’t really balanced for multiplayer, I’m still receptive to feedback but keep in mind there can be things that are off as I don’t play competitive multiplayer.
Without further ado then:
INTRO
Ss’slurea is a nation of magical ooze, adapting to their environments slimes are natural mimics and in Ss’slurea many of them have taken fun to mimicking humans. While they don’t wear armor they are difficult to harm by physical means and striking them with short weapons will have the attacker splashed with acid from their own strike. Their troops are an odd hybrid between monster and humanoid units and while they can handle the usual low damage independents they will struggle fighting a proper nation without magic support, of which they thankfully have plenty of. Ss’slurean mages are the highlight of the nation, with national access to the Water/Fire and Nature/Water crosspaths as well as a large array of national spells. They have strong Water, Astral and Glamour, with ‘heretical’ mages experimenting with mixing Nature and Water together.
Slimes reproduce very quickly in humid environments such as swamps and therefore have a "reverse popkill" mechanic tied to that province type. The popgrowth scales with population, slowing down as the province fills up. However Ss’slurea is organized in sparse villages with little to no use of technology, to represent this I’ve given them a -10% flat income debuff.
