Dynamic Rebellions
Restore the original region owners when public order collapses, with fully customizable corruption and army spawning mechanics.
Overview
This mod completely revamps the rebellion system in Total War: Warhammer 3. Instead of generic rebels spawning when public order drops, regions will spawn rebellions led by their original minor faction owners from the campaign start. Regions with negative public order will gradually return to their original owner’s corruption type, creating thematic rebellions that impact more than just PO.

- Minor Faction Support – If the original minor faction is dead, spawns specific faction rebellions; if alive, spawns generic rebels with appropriate units
- Public Order Penalties – Regions with same-faction/subculture owners receive public order penalties instead of corruption
- Save Game Compatible – Fully compatible with existing save games, no new campaign required
- Fully Configurable – Integrated with Mod Configuration Tool (MCT) for in-game customization
Configuration Options
All settings can be adjusted in-game via the Mod Configuration Tool:
- Corruption Application Rate – How quickly corruption is applied per negative public order point (0.0 – 1.0)
- Maximum Corruption Per Turn – Cap on corruption applied per turn to prevent extreme spikes (0 – 100)
- Armies: Minor Faction Rebellions – Number of armies that spawn when original minor faction is DEAD (0 – 10, default: 3)
- Armies: Generic Rebel Rebellions – Number of armies that spawn when original minor faction is ALIVE (0 – 10, default: 3)
- Enable Debug Logging – Toggle detailed debug logging for troubleshooting
How It Works
- When public order drops below 0, the region begins accumulating corruption matching the original owner’s type
- If the current owner has the same corruption type, public order penalties are applied instead
- When a rebellion triggers, the mod spawns the original minor faction (if dead) or appropriate generic rebels (if alive)
- Multiple armies can spawn per rebellion, creating more challenging uprisings
Requirements
- Total War: Warhammer 3
- Mod Configuration Tool (MCT) (optional – mod works without it using default values)
Compatibility
- Compatible with existing save games
- Works with most other mods (except IEE/custom campaign maps)
Technical Details
- Covers all 822 campaign regions with original owner data
- Safe error handling with fallback defaults if MCT is unavailable
Known Issues
- Rebel armies currently do not reinforce each other in battle (game engine limitation for rebel factions)
- First-time loading may take slightly longer as region data is initialized
