Villager Skill Overhaul
This mod raises the potential skill cap for all newly spawned villagers, allowing them to reach level 10 in eligible skills. Previously, most villagers could not exceed level 7 outside of specific profession-related skills. With this mod, villagers can now reach level 10, but only in skills granted by their profession or proficiency rolls, or if they are high enough tiered worker to reach level 10 (Some Mid Villagers can, all High Villagers can)
Beggar-tier and low-skill villagers have had their potential thresholds roughly doubled.
Medium-skill villagers can now roll between 6 and 10 for general skills, and 8 to 10 for their 1 to 2 Proficient Skills.
High-skill villagers roll between 8 and 10 for all skills, and their 2 to 3 Proficient Skills will always have a potential of 10.
Villagers with assigned professions, whether medium or high skill, will always have a potential of at least 10 in their profession-specific skill. Note that Proficient Skills can sometimes overlap with a villager?s profession skill, reducing the number of distinct level 10 skills that villager has. This is intended and introduces some variability.
This mod is classified as a ‘SPAWNER’ mod. Any changes it makes will persist even after the mod is removed. To fully revert its effects, you must start a new game or remove villagers who spawned while the mod was active.
For best results, start a new game. In ongoing saves, you can cycle in new villagers by hiring all available ones from a village or by killing off existing ones to make room.
