Description
This mod adds the future German/Norwegian Type 212CD submarine to the game. It is a larger evolution of the 212A, featuring a new diamond-shaped stealth hull design.
I have focused on getting the model and the specific weapon loadout working, so you can play around with it and I can improve it step by step.
Features
- New Unit: Type 212CD Submarine model.
- New Weapons: Includes the DM2A5 Heavyweight Torpedo and IDAS missile system.
Loadout Configuration
- Tubes 1-5: Loaded with DM2A5 Torpedoes (High speed, long range, wire-guided).
- Tube 6: Loaded with an IDAS Quad-Pack (4x Anti-Air/Surface missiles in one tube).
Next Steps
- Sensors: Custom sensor suites are not implemented yet. The boat currently uses standard/stock sensor values, so detection ranges may not perfectly reflect the real-world capabilities just yet.
- Weapons: Implement Naval Strike Missile (NSM) and Super Sonic Strike Missile (3SM) Tyrfing.
- Model: Add animations to the rudders and torpedo tube hatches.
Installation
1. Subscribe to download.
2. Enable in the Mod Manager.
