Recon Team Down
SP mission using SOG Prairie Fire, and SOG Nickle Steel
You play as a SOG Bright Light team sent in to try to secure a helicopter crash site. With heavy enemy presence in the jungle, this is a challenging mission, you may find yourself fighting to just keep your team alive.
This mission is loosely based on the real life story of RT Pennsylvania, and the 170th Assault Helicopter Company that was sent to extract them.
Situation:
RT Pennsylvania, in heavy enemy contact, calls for an emergency extraction. A helicopter from the 170th Assault Helicopter Company was sent to extract RT Pennsylvania, shortly after the recon team boarded the extraction helicopter, the aircraft was hit by enemy gunfire, causing it to crash into the jungle. The exact location of the crash site, and the status of the Recon Team, and flight crew are unknown. You are tasked with this bright light mission. You will insert by boat, then move on foot to the crash site area, and search for any survivors.
The mission has some randomized elements to it, so there is some replay value.
