Description:

In this mod I am experimenting with buildings that compensate the malus from topography or vegetation. This is meant to represent deforestation/clearing, desertification, drainage, and rural development. All buildings are currently placeholders, and I will experiment with the effects and their availability. I would appreciate suggestions for balancing as well as feedback on any bugs.

These projects require a minimum development level and the presence of a road,town or city. They are mainly intended to represent how cities and developed regions alter the land and the environment. This will likely be adjusted in the future.

The modifiers of the topography or vegetation are always shifted to the "next better level".

The following buildings have been added.

Developments for Wasteland Plains Wasteland to Grassland
Developments for Land Cultivation Grassland to Farmland
Swamp Drainage Wetlands to Lowlands
Hill Development Hills to Lowlands
Highland Development Highlands to Lowlands
Mountain Development Mountains to Lowlands

I created temporary icons for the projects and a vegetation map mode where the projects are also color-coded, but I’m currently having problems with the map mode list and localization. I overwrote the existing vegetation map mode file, but this overwrites all other changes made by other mods.
