Description:

This mod is unfortunately NOT achievement compatible as it changes the checksum.

Fixes to England’s flag definitions so that the Quartered Fleurs and St. George’s Cross appear in normal gameplay. Currently, the Fleur flags are improperly defined and do not appear, even after winning the Hundred Year’s War as England. The Quarterly-Ancient flag is not even defined at all. St. George’s Cross is erroneously defined to never appear except as a subject canton. New definitions for these flags are as follows:

Quarterly-France-Ancient (many fleurs): England or it’s subjects must hold territory in France, be a monarchy, and avoid the War of the Roses disaster.

Quarterly-France-Modern (three fleurs): England or it’s subjects must hold territory in France, be in Age 3 (Discovery), be a monarchy, and avoid the War of the Roses disaster.

St. George’s Cross: England must be in Age 5 (Absolutism), and avoid the War of the Roses disaster.

This means that, at the start in 1337, England will use the Quarterly Ancient flag as it did historically. As Age 3 begins, the flag will switch to use three fleurs to match France’s flag change. If England loses the Hundred Year’s War (thus holding no territory in France), then it’s flag will lose the fleurs and revert to the three lions flag it has in default vanilla.

In Age 5, it will switch to St. George’s cross to match Scotland’s and Ireland’s saltires at the time. It will change to this regardless of the HYW outcome or territory held, but Great Britain has unique flags for that instead.

If you get the War of the Roses Disaster or otherwise have a Lancaster, York, or Tudor ruling dynasty, you will keep the rose flags from vanilla. This mod does not affect those.
