———-
The BAC Strikemaster is a British jet-powered light attack and trainer aircraft developed from the Jet Provost in the late 1960s. Designed for counter-insurgency, close air support, and weapons training, it combines simple handling with the ability to carry rockets, gun pods, and light bombs on underwing pylons. Its rugged airframe, good low-speed performance, and low operating cost made it especially effective for operations from austere airstrips in low-intensity conflicts.
The Strikemaster saw service with several air forces across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, where it was valued for its reliability and flexibility in ground-attack roles.
Variants: New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Ecuador, Singapore and Neutral.
