Fictional Description and Lore:

BlackRock is the world’s largest asset management firm and one of the richest corporations of the world together with the big 3 (Blackrock, Blackstone, and Vanguard). They played a major role in the 2008 financial crisis by collabrating with the US Federal Reserve of the US Government fixing the situation as "Too big to fail".

BlackRock currently holds $18 Trillion of assets which is significant in thousands of public companies across sectors like tech, energy, and finance. With large ownership, BlackRock has substantial voting power at shareholder meetings, which critics claim that BlackRock holds a large amount of power to make corporate decisions on specific issues such as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).

With its large role in the asset management by having significant power in asset control, BlackRock gets involved in shaping policy within politics by connecting itself to the WEF (World Economic Forum) in supporting the "Great Reset" agenda and sharing ideas about ESG and other topics. This creates a large corporate influence in politics as the WEF is connected to leaders from other countries that enables lobbying and bureaucracy between corporations and world governments.

In 2027, BlackRock’s headquarters was attacked by a terrorist coalition group named the United Union Front (UUF) that killed 167 civilians. in the aftermath of the attack, BlackRock has responded in building its own private security by creating an armed force of corporate loyalist including development of military tech by collabrating with Boston Dynamics and Anduril. This made BlackRock as not just the company that owns major assets but the first corporation that has its own military, calling it a "corporate military industral complex".
