Lamb 9mm Automatic Carbine
A fictional carbine from my worldbuilding project built to be simple enough to arm any willing citizen and resist a tyrannical PMC’s rule.
Basically a modern STEN gun.
Stats:
9x19mm
Capacity: 17-and-over capacity Glock magazines (33 round included in late-war models)
Rate Of Fire: ~950 RPM
Advantages:
+ It’s a gun for the masses that’s not a Luty or pipe shotgun.
+ Simple to maintain and operate (Straight blowback, it’s got like 5 moving parts. Not even a bolt hold-open).
+ medium scale domestic production.
+ homegrown design.
+ 9mm, cheap and plentiful.
+ Could be converted to 6.5×25 CBJ later (an armour defeating PDW round)
Disadvantages
– Heavy.
– Low power compared to standard issue rifles.
– Pretty much useless against body armour due to 9mm being a pistol cartridge.
– Lacking luxuries.

Used by:
Royalist Guerrillas (later made into official militias by the Royal Army)
Lunar Company (adopted in small amounts for covert human use)
