M3 Lee was a US medium tank. Designed as a stopgap solution until the Sherman was ready to be fielded, wasn’t very popular with the US army. However it was heavily utilized by the nations of the Commonwealth and the USSR and was one of the main vehicles used in the North Africa campaign.
