A Better Moms Bra And Pad?
Explanation: Ever thought: ‘It’s a shame Mom’s Bra and Pad are of such sort duration, they could be pretty usefull…’?
Well me too, and this mod is here to change that!
Changes: – Mom’s Pad and Bra now keep track of how big the room is you use it in. Instead of 5 seconds, the effect will stay:
– for 300 frames (~~ 10 seconds) in normal rooms and closets
– for 400 frames (~~ 13 seconds) in 1×2 rooms
– for 500 frames (~~ 17 seconds) in L-shaped rooms
– for 600 frames (~~ 20 seconds) in 2×2 rooms
Also, for once I coded the Void synergy in at the release instead of putting it in a patch later…:D
ADDED:
– Car battery synergy: effects now double in duration

Actually, no!
To quote a line from the Binding of Isaac wiki:
"Bosses boast additional resistances to status effects. For example, fear occurs less often and the Night Light is unable to slow them down."
(This includes mini-bosses by the way!)
It basically causes the effect to be active for a maximum of 5 seconds against all bosses, so it’s still p useless against late-game enemies…
This took me 2 hours of debugging and one quick glance at the article ‘bosses’ on the wiki to find out. (fun times!)
I had the fact that status effects on bosses are pretty overpowered in mind, so I wanted to prevent the bosses from ever getting freezed or feared, as an added balance change.
But since this is apparently a thing, I just removed that part since the effect is barely effective anyway.
(I’m kind of sad about it as well though, wanted to exclude mini-bosses from this, but whatever…)
And speaking about bosses:
Bugs: Because of the resistance against status effects being a little bit broken, and the fact that I coded sort of ‘hacky’,
the freeze/fear effect might pop in for a frame or two after you used it on a boss and the resistance started to kick in.
It’s something that I noticed but haven’t fixed yet cause it’s such a small nuisance. Might still patch that in the future.
Seems to work right
