Lore from the commissioner:
While the bulk of Baja Colonial Forces was made up of native Baja Californians. The many skirmishes between anarchist groups like “Sons of Montezuma”, as well as fear of incursions from Mexican Federalist Forces from mainland Mexico, hemorrhaged or stretched thin the local pool of military age males. The Office of Foreign Communications (O.F.C) located in the colonial capital of the Mexicali, was tasked with finding recruits from any nations both neighboring and afar, in search of glory, adventure, combat, and “good” pay. The bulk of B.C.F foreign legions came from a variety of locations the most common being Californian Latinos from the Pacific Union cities of Sacramento and Los Angeles, Irish Republican Army expeditionaries, white Catholics from the territories of Grand Colorado and Italian Blackshirts personally sent by Il Duce himself.
