Fictional Description and Lore:

The Rooftop Koreans are Korean American busisnessmen and citizens of the United States who took arms to protect their communites with the benefit of the 2nd amendment. They are well known during the Los Angeles riots in 1992 that emerged in chaos based on an police brutality incident of Rodney King. Multiple violent individuals who were upset at LAPD destroyed many busisness buildings who we’re a part of ethnicly diverse communites such as blacks, asians, and whites. These communities are destroyed to such an extent that local LAPD are unable to control the situation that resulted to buildings being burned down, this is where the Koreans began to take everything into their own hands.

The Koreans used the rooftops of the buildings to defend their properties from the rioters which define them as "Rooftop Koreans" using the rooftops as a superior tactical advantage by obtaining a high ground. As the Rooftop Koreans did successfully defended their busisnesses, they unfortunately killed their own in result of a friendly fire and killed a bystander caused by a firefight.

Moving towards 2025 since the LA riots, the group is now non-existent as the Korean community moved towards community focused solutions instead of vigilantism, this lasted for a while until 2026. In January 10, 2026, the US Government has declared Martial Law to effectively enforce deportations of illegal immigrants by utilizing the full weight of the US military in states such as California, Illinois, and Oregon. This forces the Korean community to change back their ways on keeping themselves safe as local areas around LA began to become more than a riot. Many groups within LA such as Antifa and other street criminals who were armed have destroyed local buildings and beaten or kill families within their homes.

As the Rooftop Koreans returned as a militant vigilante group fighting for their survival, they are supported by the US Military and seen as friendlies but are left alone as they don’t want to be associated with the US Government. Rooftop Koreans we’re also supported by an secret entity called the Civilian Protection Foundation (CPF), used as an asset while also being fully protected and armed as a strong group.
