Description:

Why should the ruler always be the one paying?

This mod replaces the static "Bribe Estate" button with a new event that grants you greater control over your realm’s internal politics.
When you interact with an estate, you now have the choice to be a benevolent ruler or a tyrant in need of gold.

⚖️ The Choice is Yours

✅ Offer a Gift (Bribe)

Maintain the status quo.
Cost: 12 * Estate Base Tax
Effect: Grants +10% Satisfaction.
(This preserves the vanilla behavior.)

😈 Demand Tribute (Extort)

Force the estate to contribute to the state coffers.
Gain: 12 * Estate Base Tax
Effect: Suffers -20% Satisfaction.

📈 Designed for Balance
While extortion provides a quick injection of cash (equal to the bribe cost), it comes with a heavy political price. The satisfaction penalty is double the gain from bribery (-20% vs +10%), making this a desperate measure for desperate times.

Note: Although the Estate’s treasury value is visible in the game UI, there is currently no accessible scope link to read or check this value in the game script. So strictly speaking, you can create money out of thin air.
