Spare some time for literature? Gather the power of focus and relaxation while sitting on your finest couch and read faster! The creaking wood floorboard is all you need to be honest.
Picture this: you just died (awful, I know), and now you got to read all the books in storage for those sweet recipes and exp boosts. Don’t just go and read one by one…! Select all books/magazines you want and read them all at once! Go crazy!
Forgot to sit? No problem at all! We got you covered with a context button to sit then read your selection. Reading has never been made this easy!
Normally, if you sit while reading, your character will stop the action, but not anymore—they don’t! Start reading, then sit, and your character will pick up right where they left off; they will even continue to read the literature you previously selected! This is the future, alright!
- Read and walk at the same time – can’t run or sprint and you’ll be able to open doors while at it. (enable/disable in sandbox settings)
- Read faster while sitting – in the ground, on furniture, or inside a car. (configurable rate in sandbox settings. 1 = Normal rate, Default = 0.8)
- Select multiple books/magazines to read automatically – make a selection of books in your inventory or a container, right-click, and click "Read Selected Books", the character will start picking one at a time, read it, and put it back in the container.
- Sit and read selection button – Make your selection and click this to automatically sit, then start reading.
- Sit mid-read and the character will continue reading – They will go back to reading the entire selection you made or the single book you were reading.
- If you sit while taking or putting back a book/magazine from/to a container, the queue will be cleared and the character will not continue reading the books they were reading before sitting down
This mod was inspired by "Read While Walking" and "Read Faster When Sitting", and it’s the first mod I ever created for any game ever!
I wanted these functionalities to play locally, but why not upload it?!
I kinda reached what I intended with this mod, I might come back to implement more stuff, but I may not fix it if a future PZ API update breaks anything.
