Ever wanted to make your UI a lot more readable? Well I didn’t, so I made a minimalistic UI that’s absolutely not user friendly!
My goal was to reduce the amount of UI to some degree, and to make the game feel a bit less cartoony, and give it a bit more of a serious look.
If I have to be really honest, I mainly made this for myself. That means that I unfortunately will not be open to suggestions for now, but feel free to voice your concern if you’re really missing something.
I also don’t really know if it works with unit colours, but you’ll have to find that for yourself.
If, however, you feel the need to change the opacity of some elements for example, you can just open the mod yourself, go to textures/GUI_ingame, and open the .dds file of your choosing in gimp or paint or whatever. From there, you can just copy and paste the same layer over itself, and the opacity should be solid now! Just export it over the original and you’re good to go! I might upload a non-transparent version soon.
Huge thanks to Narcotics and Panguino. I used their UI mods as a base. I am pretty sure I replaced every asset by now, but if any of you two are not happy with maybe a lost UI element of yours popping up somewhere, I’m more than happy to remove it.
